Get a team together and start designing, the ASM Geodesic Dome Design Competition, DomesDay, is now open for registration! Teams will design and build a dome that will be judged in various categories, the last of which will see the dome pitted against the compression machine! Can your dome take the weight?

The competition will be hosted in-person on Sept. 29 at IMAT 2026 in Quebec City, Canada! Teams must be registered by 11:59 PM Eastern on Sept. 14, but act fast, as only a limited number of competition slots are available.

About The Contest:

Established in 2014 by the ASM Student Board Members, DomesDay is intended to familiarize Material Advantage students with a piece of ASM culture, the Geodesic Dome, by involving them in a design and materials selection competition.
